“I wanted to change the world. But I have found that the only thing one can be sure of changing is oneself.” ― Aldous Huxley
Ieva RuteIeva is an artist, Sinologist, and travel guide whose life unfolds between continents. For more than 20 years, she has guided travelers across the globe, bringing together deep cultural knowledge, curiosity, and a talent for finding the stories behind the places she visits. A cultural anthropologist at heart, Ieva approaches travel not simply as sightseeing, but as a way of understanding people, traditions, beliefs, and the ever-changing relationship between cultures.
Between journeys, she creates in Lithuania, working across ceramics, photography, and textiles. Her artistic practice explores impermanence, neurodiversity, and self-reconstruction — themes that echo her own fascination with movement and transformation.
A passionate tea enthusiast, craft beer fan, and lifelong explorer, Ieva brings an unusual combination of scholarly insight, artistic sensitivity, and two decades of firsthand experience to every journey. She is equally at home discussing Buddhist philosophy, the history of a temple, the character of a local tea, or where to find an excellent craft beer.
